- Description: Teapot. Early red, yellow, green and black enamels. Sprays of yellow peony below geometric pattern in red and band of red round neck. Red geometric pattern and scrolling on handle and spout. Plain red band and one circle round foot. Single circle on base. Lid missing. Traces of mounting on handle.
This palette of enamels relates to, but may be different from the palette found on large jars (see Porcelain for Palaces, 1990, nos. 73, 74, for examples in the British Museum), and more closely relates to a narrow necked mug illustrated by Impey, 1981, pl 5.
